Computers, just like our houses, can benefit from an annual spring clean!  

The case and power supply fans tend to draw dust and debris into the case.  This dust clogs the fans and heatsink causing the machine to heat up and therefore slow down.

The file system also benefits from a clean out.  Over time many remnants are left behind by programs that are no longer in use.  Temporary files, particularly temporary Internet files, build up using increasing amounts of disk space.  The files stored on the computer can also become fragmented.  All these things combine to cause a general slowing down of the machine.  If ignored,  it may become necessary to back up all the data, and where possible the settings, wipe and reformat the hard drive and re-install the Operating System, applications and data.  An annual health check can help prevent this.

In addition to cleaning up physically and file wise PCs can be tuned up to run more efficiently and this, along with a driver update is part of the service.  We generally run a virus and spyware scan at the same time to ensure your computer is returned in top condition.
